COVINGTON – The Covington Buccaneers put together one of the most exciting nights in the Midnight Hit due to great effort and overall performances by the entire team.

Due to the construction being in place at Smith Field, the Midnight Hit was performed on the practice field for the first time. Fortunately, it was still a special night for so many Buccaneer fans who were present to witness how great the players performed. It was apparent that the entire team showed so much improvement over the past year.

The team started off the night with the Skull Session in the weight room at 10:00pm where several fans witnessed the continuity the Buccaneers have in their overall team philosophy.

At around 10:45pm the Buccaneers started a practice where they worked on fundamentals and conditioning. Then, full contact began at midnight, which had the players amped up at a high level.

The improvement was the overall effort put together throughout the entire night and the physicality the players showcased once full contact was permitted. Plus, execution of the majority of the plays were extremely impressive. Everything the players put together was a result of how hard the majority of them worked throughout the off season.

Tonight was nearly perfect and hopefully it leads to success in the games against other teams in the 2025 season.
